The intended purpose is to increase awareness about opioid addiction, without stigmatizing people who are addicted to opioids. To reach the largest number of people possible, the advertising campaign will be displayed in subway/bus kiosks, and in popular magazines and newspapers. For my opioid awareness campaign I created illustrations to show how opioids addiction can lead people to feel depressed and helpless. My reason for using illustrations instead of photography is because they give the campaign a lighter tone, and more provocative than photography. The illustrations are meant to not only draw the attention of users, but also of the general public who may know someone struggling with an opioid addiction. The other benefit of using these illustrations is that they are a blank slate that anyone of any cultural background can relate to.
